A new brand for a farming business venture

The
Brief

Llaeth Preseli Milk is born out of the Moat Grange family farm, near the Preseli hills in Pembrokeshire. The farm is run by a traditional farming family that has been farming in the area for over 100 years. They recently decided to diversify their offerings with a new milk vending machine business and artisanal gelato.

To achieve this, they required a modern brand identity that paid homage to the decades of experience and prestige of this farming family.

The
Project

Llaeth Preseli required a sophisticated brand mark that would distinguish them in the milk vending market. The mark needed to signal modernity while retaining the established feel of a family business. Diversification in farming has become big business, and this entrepreneurial family needed their new business venture to stand out from the crowd.

The
Solution

The outcome is a traditional brand mark with a contemporary twist. The rich, dark blue of the brand mark gives it the strong, sophisticated look that it needs. It stands out visually from the creamy milk without detracting from it. The typography used nods to the established history of this business, while the playful cow figure indicates a new direction for a family that has farmed cattle here for generations.

In addition to creating aesthetically pleasing product packaging for Llaeth Preseli’s milk, we also designed a custom wrap for the milk vending machine. This needed to be distinctive yet simplistic, and recognisable immediately, so that customers can use and re-use it time after time.

Other marketing materials produced for this new business venture help Llaeth Preseli Milk present themselves professionally, attract the open market, and showcase high-quality Welsh produce at food fairs, trade events, and in their B2B relationships.
