This year, Earth Month is focused on community efforts; coming together to give back to a cause. That’s exactly how we operate already at Monddi, working as a team to do good.
We’ve recently embraced partnerships with two local charities working to improve our environment through education, awareness, and physical action.
One of our partners is the Sea Trust, a Goodwick based charity committed to studying and raising awareness of local marine wildlife. We’ve been volunteering with them to create professional signage and marketing materials across multiple projects. These have ranged from spreading the word about biodiversity in the Fishguard and Goodwick area surrounding the charity’s home of the Ocean Lab, to promoting local recycling schemes for fishing materials throughout Pembrokeshire harbours.
Within the last few weeks, we’ve also teamed up with the Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust, who promote the conservation, protection and enhancement of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and surrounding areas. We attended a beach clean hosted by the Trust alongside other local businesses earlier this year, and have since extended our involvement into a volunteering partnership, working together to design and produce effective marketing materials, with the view of helping as much as we can in the coming years.
One of the best things about being connected with local charities is being able to see the physical impact of our work in our immediate vicinity. Part of what motivates our green ethos is the aim to preserve our beautiful surroundings for future generations to enjoy, as we have throughout our lives.
We’re so excited to get even more involved with both of these amazing charities through both design and hands-on volunteering efforts, giving back to our community and helping to boost Pembrokeshire’s biodiversity.
At Monddi we believe that real change begins with real connections. It’s one thing to support sustainability from afar, contributing through distant donations or digital platforms that promise impact with the click of a button. But it’s something entirely different to experience change in real life, understanding the ecosystems being brought back to life. We’re proud to begin a new partnership as a part of the Jump Group, with the remarkable Belmont Estate, a place where regeneration is not just an idea, but a daily practice.
This partnership reflects a meeting of minds and missions. It is not a surface-level collaboration, nor a temporary alignment. It is rooted in shared values and a belief that business can be a force for restoration. Belmont is not only a beautiful landscape set within the rolling hills of Somerset, but also a living example of what it means to restore and replenish the natural world. Their work embodies the spirit of regeneration; an ethos we also carry forward in our own operations, striving always to give more back to the planet than we take.
“Having visited Belmont Estate twice and experienced two incredible tours of their natural ecosystem regeneration project, we’re thrilled to be joining in partnership. Our own ethos as a regenerative business, giving back to the planet more than we take, is closely aligned with the inspiring work Belmont does. We can’t wait to harness the positive impact of this collaboration.”
— Ben Thorne, Head of Sustainability, Jump Group
In today’s landscape, it’s easy to be drawn toward abstract solutions. Many sustainability efforts have become virtual, automated, and impersonal; an offset here, a credit there, a promise of impact without ever knowing the place or the people involved. But we’ve taken a different approach, one that favours depth over convenience and real engagement over transactional gestures. We believe in proximity and being able to witness projects first-hand, to contribute in person, and to invest in projects that are not just meaningful on paper, but tangible and close to home.
That is why Belmont stood out. Their rewilding project offers us the chance to support ecosystem restoration that we can see with our own eyes, learn from, and become part of. For those unfamiliar, rewilding is the process of returning land to a wilder, more natural state. It means allowing forests to regrow, giving rivers space to meander naturally, welcoming back native species, and letting the land breathe without human interference. It is not about control or management, but about stepping back and allowing nature to restore itself in ways far more intelligent and intricate than any blueprint we could impose.
At Belmont, this vision is being realised in extraordinary ways. Their estates span 400 acres in Somerset and 10,000 acres near Inverness, where its rewilding programmes are gradually transforming the land into a thriving mosaic of habitats. Biodiversity is increasing. Natural rhythms are returning. And perhaps most powerfully of all, people are rediscovering their relationship with the land. We’ve been there, walked the fields, listened to the team, and experienced the story unfolding; and we have come away inspired.
“We’re delighted to welcome the Jump Group to the Belmont Partnership. Their purposeful and driven approach to sustainability, and not to mention creativity, will create a perfectly compatible union with the Estate. Through this Partnership, we can ensure nature restoration, climate resistance, and community resilience.”
— Henry Rossiter, Director, Belmont
This partnership will not be confined to a single season or campaign. It is the beginning of a multi-year collaboration, one built on trust, shared ambition, and a hands-on commitment to making a difference. Together, we will support rewilding efforts not through distant schemes or anonymous funds, but in a place we can return to, contribute to, and be shaped by. These are not abstract offsets. They are living ecosystems. And they matter to us not just because of their environmental value, but because of the relationship we are building with the people behind them.
As part of this partnership, we’ll also be expanding our volunteering programme, enabling our team to take part in practical conservation and restoration activities across the estate (and wider communities). From planting native species, to supporting habitat restoration, building boardwalks, and monitoring wildlife, these are the kinds of experiences that bring our mission to life in a visceral way. They offer not only a contribution to nature but a chance for personal connection, team reflection, and a deeper understanding of what sustainability really looks like when it’s rooted in place.
This collaboration speaks to a broader vision, one where sustainability is a story we write together, one season at a time. Regeneration, for us, is more than a corporate objective. It is a way of thinking, a way of working, and a way of living. Belmont gives us the opportunity to express that belief through action, and to partner with people who understand that restoring the planet is as much about community as it is about carbon.
The Jump Group’s annual beach cleans are a cherished tradition here at Monddi! They’re a wonderful opportunity for the whole Group to come together in person and share our commitment to giving back to the planet.
This June, we celebrate our fifth annual beach clean. Usually, we organise these events in September, but this year, we wanted to make it extra memorable. So, we extended our company-wide meet-up last week by an additional day and enjoyed it on the beautiful sandy shores of Weston-Super-Mare. We cherish every occasion to meet with the rest of the Jump Group, and a good beach clean is the best team-building exercise.
For us at Monddi, volunteering our time to support our planet and community is such an important part of who we are. We believe that building strong bonds with both our environment and the people around us helps us make a positive difference. Whether it’s through hands-on volunteering or partnering with charitable organisations, we’re always aiming to do good and create a better world.
We love finding creative ways to combine team building with our passion for social responsibility. This journey encourages us to discover better, more meaningful ways of doing business. We truly see our team as our greatest strength. When we encourage them to participate in community service and charitable activities, we’re not only growing stronger as a team but also supporting their personal development. This commitment to teamwork and community isn’t just a goal; it’s a core part of who we are, guiding every step we take and shaping our actions every day.
