Hammet House brand design and development was undertaken over a number of weeks featuring a wide range of services. The key to the design process and brief were the design features of Georgian architecture examples being proportion, order and symmetry.
The concept for Hammet House retains the architectural qualities of the window frames and building features – The idea being to simplify the logo mark down to its pure essence, reflecting the new contemporary vision. The reading of the ‘mark’ will still indicate its origins from the building but it will also connect directly to the renaming of the hotel through its typographical simplicity.
One of the great advantages of this logo mark is its versatility in rendering. Whether it is a solid colour, reversed out or simple line – It still retains its legibility and allows for a wide range of different applications to multiple surface textures.
