The
Solution
Firstly, Monddi created a simple yet distinctive brand mark inspired by a recognisable architectural feature of the hotel: the old weather vane. The rooster-shaped vane holds particular personal significance for the owners and marks the beginning of a new chapter for the venue.
The chosen colour palette of soft white, slate grey, and Bluestone blue is used consistently across all branding, creating a simple look that links the hotel to the surrounding Welsh landscape.
Additionally, the exterior signage’s understated design complements the traditional stone entrance and hotel building.
Lastly, we designed a modern image-based website utilising the new branding to give Castlemead a strong digital presence. We focused on attracting a wide audience by showcasing the seasonal menu and the stunning views from the hotel. The use of large images offers visitors a glimpse of the local landscapes and the locally produced, sustainably sourced ingredients.
